Searching for pictures
At any time, enter a term to search for in the ‘search’ box in the menu on the left of the screen and press Go! This will show you all pictures related to the term you entered. If there are more than will fit on a single screen, use the numbers at the bottom of the page to select a different page. Click a thumbnail image to see the larger picture and detailed information.
Browsing for pictures.
Press ‘browse pictures’ in the menu. Now, you can make a selection based on one of three properties:
Category
Select a category from the pull-down menu at the top of the page. You can select a main category (listed in capital letters) for a broad scope of pictures, or a sub category for a narrower scope (fewer images).
Region/country
Click a region of the world on the map. If there are no pictures for this region, the map will show a red color. If there are pictures, it will show a dark blue.
Alternatively, select a region from the pull-down menu below the world map. Here, you can also choose a country directly.
Photographer
If you wish to view pictures by a certain photographer, select a name from the pull-down menu at the bottom of the page.
Viewing picture details
Clicking an image thumbnail (after searching or browsing) will show a larger version of the image, along with details about its title, category, location etc. Clicking any of these properties will show related images. For instance, if you click ‘India’ in the description of an image, you will get all pictures from India.
If you are logged in, you can add the picture you are viewing to your shopping cart.
Getting an account
Click ‘create account’ at the bottom left of the screen. You will be asked to fill out a form. After sending this, you will receive an email containing your login data.
Logging in and out
Press ‘log in’ at the bottom left of the screen. Enter the email address you used to subscribe, and the password you received. To log out, press ‘log out’ from the same menu.
Changing your password
You can change the random password you got in the email to something that you can easily remember. After logging in, press ‘account settings’. Enter your current password and the password you want to change it to. Confirm the password en press ‘change password’. You will now be able to log in using your newly chosen password.
Ordering pictures
After putting images in your cart, you can press ‘go to cart’ at the bottom left of the screen. Before you can buy a picture, you have to specify how you will use it. Press ‘set use’ at the right of the image and select the appropriate options. Confirm by pressing the link at the bottom of the page.
After setting the use of a picture, you can buy it by pressing ‘order image’. You have to agree to the terms of use by pressing the button at the bottom of the page. Then, you will see a confirmation of the price of the image. Press the Paypal button to pay through the Paypal service. You will be sent the digital image by e-mail a.s.a.p., and normally within 24 hours.
To set the use for more than one picture, or order multiple images simultaneously, select all the pictures and select the appropriate action from the bottom of the page.
